- There is probably no help for it, but this required finding a place on the roof to install it, purchasing a mast, and running a wire down the outside of the house to get to the basement room where the inside antenna was. Several complicated restrictions on antenna placement (both outside and in) made this more difficult to plan. And then snaking the wire thru part of the crawlspace and in the wall to get it to the unit and then the inside antenna was an effort. In all, it took several days and multiple trips to the big box home improvement store to get this done. However, it does work (after a software conniption that tech support solved) and our phones work most everywhere in the house, which we were led NOT to expect. It\'s a vast improvement over the prior spotty service.
- I purchaed this unit over a year ago, I have never figured out how to make it actually work like it is supposed to but if I left my phone on the antenna, I had 5 bars of 5G and could use my cell service to stream tv and get online. Just the other day, my antenna broke at the connection point so I was looking to purchase a new one but could not find one. I contacted customer support and Yoselin answered my chat message. I explained what was wrong with the antenna and he Quickley responded with \" I will send you a new one.\"I also explained the issue with having to leave my phone on the antenna to get signal and he offered to help me fix the issue over the phone and online. I have to say, I have never experienced a company in 47 years make an issue like this seem too easy. Yoselin made this \" hands down the best customer service experience I have ever had.\"
- It works, I now have 2 and 3 bars (versus previously, 1 or none) regarding my cell phone reception. And, I no longer experience dropped phone calls and I can send photos with text.Due to low cell tower signal, I followed the installation method described in the manual (page 24). While moving the exterior antenna to various roof locations, I used the Booster\'s displayed readings to find the optimal location on my roof. Then I connected the internal antenna and found that there was \'loop back\' or electronic feedback between the two antennas (similar to what happens when a microphone gets too close to a speaker on a performance stage). So, I connected the entire system, (which includes both antennas) and found a location where the \'loop back\' was smallest by looking at the Booster display that showed the strongest signal. Final antenna description; antenna face in opposite directions, approximately 4 feet difference in vertical height, approximately 11 feet apart in horizontal distance, AND, most importantly, I have two internal house walls between the antennas.Out of the 4 Bands listed on the booster display, I have readings of \'-10\' for the top three bands while the fourth band (labelled AWS2100) shows \'---\' (three dashes) which means \'no reception\'. Note: ideally, all Bands would show \'10\' (note, a positive 10 value) not a negative number 10. Regardless of the negative 10 values, I get dependable cell phone reception.Also, due to poor cell phone tower connection I am focusing on basic cell phone connection and not internet data speed to stream high-bandwidth. (I use a different internet provider for that.)I would recommend this product to a friend.
- So this product will have different result from cellphone signal performance to TMobile Home Internet Gateway. It does the job and boost the signal for both but you will only see major changes in 4G or 5G with your phone. With that, the customer support (Bruce) offered to guide me to show where I should be facing the antenna to improve the Internet gateway capabilities. Although I was expecting a better boost, I still manage to get a better speed than before. Thanks to the support, I manage to increase the speed a bit
- Okay, first I have to say that I am VERY happy with this purchase. It gets five stars from me.Now, I\'ll give you my story. When we first moved to this area, the cell phone signal was great. But, over the years, it\'s gotten worse and worse. The explanation I got from the carrier was that they couldn\'t keep up with the population growth and get enough bandwidth to provide decent service to all the customers.Central Texas has been booming. None of the infrastructure is growing fast enough to meet the needs. Our cell phone service provider is no exception. It got to the point where we couldn\'t rely on our cell service at all, in our own home. We had to carry our cordless land line phones with us all the time. It was very frustrating.Based on my brother-in-laws experience and recommendations, I decided to try a signal booster. After doing WEEKS of research, I decided on this one from HiBoost. It took me a while to decide. These things aren\'t cheap.The installation and setup of this system is complex and requires a good amount of work. If you\'re not technically inclined, a regular handyman and able to climb ladders, roofs and do a lot of physical work, I recommend you get someone to do this for you. I\'m 68 years old. But, still very physically active and very handy with tools and technical projects. So, I was able to do it myself.The entire kit is very well engineered, designed and built with top quality materials and components. The one thing that they don\'t include is a roof top antenna mast. There are several economical models available on Amazon. I was fortunate that my Dish antenna mast was close enough to an entry point that I could use it, instead of mounting another mast on the roof. The installation was somewhat easy.You need to lay out all the cables and components first, figure out how long the runs are and where to mount what. They provide a small diameter \'window\' cable, so you don\'t have to drill through a wall.The best way to program it requires two people, one reading the signal strength on the amplifier and another to adjust the receiver. They also have an app that allows one person to do it. But, the two person method is preferred.The results are awesome. I went from one bar of reception in the house, to FOUR bars. Outside, I had two bars. You need to understand that, if you don\'t have any signal where you are, this device won\'t help. But, if you have ANY signal at all, this will definitely increase that signal and provide greater coverage in your home.I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.
