- This worked well in a fringe reception zone that had no service on phone alone. But, unlike the WAB brand, did not have an on-off switch built into the cigarette lighter jack; and they were too thick to fit under my GMC 2500 front seat; and didn\'t fit right in the middle console--without bending the incoming outside antenna and the outgoing inside the auto one. I had to cut a piece of lumber to fill up the well in front of the cup holders so that the booster unit would fit without putting undue pressure on those two connectors at the unit. Smoothtalker is a good performing brand, and I had a 3 watt booster for my 2G flip phone that worked great and provided stronger yet signals and four to five bars in spots where the new lower wattage induction unit provides 1 or 2 bars--but this unit does work well and gets a clear voice both ways. I use this in the wilderness near a border town in Quebec, and with all phones and boosters you have to drive around with phone and booster on to find \'hot spots\' where there is decent reception.

- This POS, built from the cheapest components, not only DID NOT perform as promised, but literally fell apart with minimal use. The 100V/12V adaptor stopped working soon after purchase. Fair enough, if it actually boosted oyur cell signal, to pony up an additional $10 for a replacement. Then, the 12V cigar lighter plug quit. Another hour drive to the electronics store and another $10. Save yourself the hassle and get a satellite phone. Total waste of $$$!!!
