Great purchase. Great sound if you appreciate bass that still sounds clear. Sony needs to catch up though since you can\'t power on the speaker through the app, only power off.

Sounds great very clear and crisp sound, base is good. Just cause it\'s refurbished doesn\'t mean it\'s trash it could of just had a simple error and it was probably sent back after 1 week. Your getting a new product. At least I did.
Besides the not to safe packaging ? Or no manual booklet , the item is in great condition ! It’s has Good bass with bass boost button , decent side lighting , good charge battery life ! Just needs slightly better clarity ! And the Usb option needs a way to skip music or go back when using the USB port for music !And Sony app is ok also , over all I got the best deal for this pricey product and you can never go wrong with Sony electronics some of the longest lasting equipment in the planet !!

I was searching around for a bluetooth speaker when i came across this gem for$169! The speaker was being sold a refurbished unit. Didn\'t even know that Sony released this beast. Did some browsing around and apparently this speaker is a direct competitor of the JBL Boombox. Well, I thought this was a great deal. New units were selling for $450! Took a chance on purchasing one and I\'m glad I did! The unit shipped in a plain brown cardboard box and the speaker was wrapped and sealed in plastic. The ends of the speaker was packed with molded foam for protection. Unboxed the speaker and it came with about 80% charge. The unit did not have any original stickers or tags but a Sony branded power supply and cord was provided in the box. Upon inspecting the unit, this speaker looked brand new out of the box with no imperfections. Take a look at the attached pictures. The speaker paired well and all functions tested ok. Be sure to download the Sony Music Center app to fine tune the sound of the speaker. I\'ll have to agree with other reviews that this unit sounds a bit warm and muffled out of the box. Give it a tweak with an equalizer and the high end will balance out nicely. The bass on this speaker is just awesome. Nice full and loud! For $169, it\'s a steal!
I bought one for my husband and a month later bought another for my son. The first one came with a charging cord the second one didn\'t. Thankfully we have the first one and can charge both right now. Tried to make contact to get the charger issue resolved but still haven\'t gotten any response.
