• The media could not be loaded.  I had 100s of CDs in storage that weren\'t available on a streaming apps, either b-sides, or recordings that were rare and never made it to digital stream. I set out on getting a CD player, but I wanted a shelf design, something that was uncomplicated, stylish and would make a design statement in a room.I\"m so glad I found this! The design is retro, but looks futuristic at the same time. I love the glass top so you can see the CD artwork and watch it spin as it plays. It\'s absolutely silent, so I can tell the motor and all the moving parts are very well made. The \"click\" the CD makes as you press one down into the mechanism is very satisfying.The hinges on the lid are very high quality and lifts very smoothly. The LCD screen is bright and modern looking. The controls are straight-forward. All the buttons and knob are sort of soft, like plastic that might have a coating of silicone on it. They do NOT feel flimsy or cheap.As a bonus, this also has a built-in battery supply, so it can be unplugged from the wall and brought into any room of the house, or outside. And it can also transmit via bluetooth to bigger speakers, or connected directly to another system using the 8mm jack. Although, the sound on the speakers won\'t fill a large room, this would be perfect for a study, or on a bookshelf in your home office. The sound is very balanced on its own and is perfect for classical, piano, jazz, country, vintage, etc, you might want to connect it to bigger speakers if you plan on playing hip hop, metal, orchestral, etc.The packaging this comes in is ultra-sleek, and has a major \"cool factor,\" so perfect gift for college students, writers, or even better—for YOURSELF! I\'m glad I found this little gem. It is a little pricey for what I wanted to spend, but once it arrived, totally worth it because of the high quality.
