  • Bought my PI 5 about a month ago because I was looking for a replacement of my PowerBeats Pro. As I also own a pair of Px7 S2 which are fantastic, I went for the PI 5.The sound of the PI 5 is outstanding if noise cancelling is turned on. Crystal clear for higher frequencies and a surprisingly good bass. I mostly use them for sports activities like running and at the gym. For running I use them with my Garmin Fenix6 and at the gym with my iPhone 11. The connection with Garmin works astonishingly well. However, the connection with the iPhone remains difficult. In most of the cases, I need to use the Connect functionality which means I need to keep them in their box to connect. This is rather annoying because it takes time. Either the phone or the headphones (or both) do not seem to like each other. They keep ignoring each other at re-connecting at least at the first trial. The B&W app is like 18th century, and it usually takes more than one trial to connect the PI 5 with them.It is practically not possible to use the PI 5 for outdoor sports while wearing a cap that covers your ears. As soon as the cap touches the metal buttons your PI 5 will keep start and stop your music as the these buttons seem to be sensitive. On the other hand, when you use the button to skip a song (2x) or to repeat (3x), the reaction time of the buttons is rather slow. This is much better with the PowerBeats Pro.Overall I keep the PI 5 for their sound. Usability is rather average or even below.
  • The sound quality on these are great. I prefer the sound on my B&O BEOPLAY EQ over these but they\'re still one of the best sounding earbuds I\'ve ever tried.I had no connection issues and it was really easy to pair to my phone. The only problem is with the in ear detection. Everytime I move to fast or it shifts even a little bit in my ear, the music stops. And it happens often so I had to turn off this feature.I like that there is an app that goes with these earbuds but it is very limited. Sadly there is no adjustable EQ. Fortunately, the sound is great and I don\'t really feel like I need to adjust the EQ.The ANC and ambient modes work great. I don\'t hear anything when I have music playing. The touch controls on these are one of the best. It\'s one of the most responsive touch controls I\'ve used on earbuds. The Pi5 earbuds are also really one of the best looking earbuds out there in my opinion and they\'re also really comfortable. I have smallish ears and I don\'t have any issue with the fit of these. They look like they\'re on the bigger side and they kind of stick out of my ears but they\'re not heavy at all and I can wear them for hours at a time without experiencing any ear fatigue. The case itself is kind of big and I wouldn\'t carry it in my pocket but I mainly use these at home and have another earbuds that I carry around with me (it would hurt a lot less if I ever loose them). The lid is a little flimsy but like I said, I don\'t really carry them around. The battery on these earbuds are terrible. I knew that before I purchased them and I didn\'t think it would be a problem but now that I have them and actually experience it, I understand how annoying it is to constantly have to take them out to recharge. For this reason alone, I\'m considering returning them. I just hesitate on returning them because of all the other pros but realistically I see myself potentially not using these often in the long run due to the battery and end up buying another set of earbuds to use for day to day use.Overall, these are a great pair of earbuds. I do wish that the battery life on these are were better (which is why I\'m giving it 4 stars instead of 5) but I think it\'s forgivable given all the pros. I\'m really happy with the Pi5s and I\'m even debating on getting the pi7s to compare the two. But I think you\'ll be happy with these earbuds.
  • I expected more from the app. I could only manage noise cancellation and ambient. Both are okay and not the best but they work. Maybe it\'s the resolution? Maybe it\'s just because these do not separate the sound as well and you end up with a mush almost. Quality of the driver or amount of them and how they are managed but I do know some said the bass is too much..which I understand why and that may come into the clarity or separation. I think it\'s the quality of how the bass is..some songs have a good sub bass sound but others are just blasting or bleeding bass when my other pair of earbuds separate them almost perfectly and it\'s actually enjoyable to listen. I like them a lot the the feature where you can enable ambient and sound cancellation so your voice is not muffle and is louder than you when you\'re talking. Battery life was bad but went to be a lot more efficient when I reset the buds in the battery case and synced them back up
  • These are made by a company known for exquisite sound quality in audio loudspeakers. Being a mastering engineer, myself, I know B&W are loved by even Abbey Road Mastering, among many other Grammy-winning mastering houses. These ear-buds aren\'t those, and nobody should expect them to be. They\'re tiny. However, they\'re far from neutral. They\'re bass-heavy, which is fine for road-use and listening while on a plane or train. However, sitting at home, they\'re a bit hefty in the low end with lacking articulation and clarity in the low-end. Everything else is ok, even if the mids are slightly scooped.Battery life isn\'t great, but again, you can\'t expect that in light of decent noise-cancellation and sound quality. That said, if B&W would provide an option to reduce the bass, this might could prolong battery life significantly.Here\'s my big issue with these ear-buds that made me return them: Functionality is flaky. If I have them in my ears, and I move my ears muscles back, audio may stop playback. There\'s some SUPER-sensitive controls inside the ear-buds, I would have preferred to simply eliminate, or make optional. Since that didn\'t seem to be offered, I returned them. It\'s too difficult to enjoy something unreliable in the sense of trying to sit perfectly still and not adjust them.
  • Perfect for sitting but not for workouts. Tend to fall out while on treadmill due to sweat.
  • The NC is not what B&W says it is. The battery I connect the charging case to the power and after 3and a half hours the earbuds were not fully charged. A total disappointing.
