  • I bought this headset when we had to start working from home for an extended time period during the pandemic. I needed a reliable headset for all my video calls with a long battery life. I used Bose headphones at my last job and loved them, so that’s my point of comparison for a top quality product. Here\'s my review based on my specific use case and needs.Use case: I use this with Mac products (2019 Macbook Pro, 2018 iPad Pro and my iPhone 10). I use it primarily for video calls on Google Hangouts and Zoom, plus regular phone calls.Connectivity: EXCELLENT. I haven\'t had any problems with Bluetooth connectivity. When I turn it on, it immediately recognizes and connects to up to two devices. I have more issues with having my airpods autoconnecting to my Mac devices than these headphones!Sound quality: GOOD. The sounds quality is fine for talking and listening purposes. I wouldn\'t use these if listening to music is your primary need (I\'m comparing to the Bose QuietComfort headphones).Noise cancelling: NOT THAT GOOD. It\'s only a little bit better than passive noise cancelling devices. However, I\'m not that concerned about that because I take my calls in an isolated room. When I do have to be around external noises, it\'s good enough but not great compared to other devices with ANC.Mute function: EXCELLENT. I love that you can instantly mute by swinging up your mic piece. I\'ve been hearing about so many stories of \'hot mic\' situations during this shelter in place / work from home situation. Other headsets require you to hit a keyboard function to mute, or you have to constantly check that you\'re on mute out of paranoia. With this headset, I like that you have a physical indicator to give you confidence that you\'re on mute, and you can quickly mute/unmute as your child intermittently interrupts your call.Battery life: EXCELLENT. I love that it tells you how many hours are left when you turn on the headset. I can get two to three full working days of battery life with these.Comfort: GOOD. The size of the ear pads are on the small side. They sit on your ear rather than encase them, so I can see why some people have complained about them. I\'ve only noticed some discomfort after wearing them for an excessive amount of time. But I appreciate the amount of tension on the headset tightness. It\'s not too tight to give me a headache, but snug enough to not fall off when I bend over.Overall, I’m happy about these mainly for the mute mic function and battery life but would have expected better ANC. My guess is that the effectiveness is limited to the fact that the ears are not completely covered.
  • I bought these in Feb 2020 and I still have them. They have been fantastic for me.I answer calls and play music on them. I wear them for hours at a time. I don\'t know why I never left a review, but I am now. I\'ve never had a problem with them, and if I ever had to replace them, I\'d buy them again. Or an upgraded model if they exist. The active noise cancelling is even nice. My work place has a ventilation system that has a constant low hum, that I never really noticed, but was giving me headaches. When I turn the noise cancellation on, I notice it immediately and I feel better at the end of the day. And the passive noise cancellation of wearing them is good, and it mutes the constant hum of everyone talking around me. I don\'t work in a call center but it\'s still an office setting.I use them on Teams and Zoom. I love being able to mute with the mic arm turned up. No buttons to push in meetings.
  • UPDATE Dec 2020: Mic stopped working after 2 years of very light use and 1 year of moderate use. I didn\'t expect it to last forever, but really the design of the boom mic for muting is sub-par. Knocking my rating down to 3 stars b/c for this price it should last. The product had all of the features I wanted: Good quality and range, 2 device pairing, easy to mute by flipping up mic (no need to hold down buttons for 2 seconds), comfortable, both ears, etc. Unfortunately, there are a couple of issues that really bother me and make it annoying to work with (and no solution in sight):1) Although they say it works with Chromebook (the sound works fine), there is an issue whereby when you turn off the headset, it freezes up the Chromebook mouse button. The only way to reset it is to literally unplug the dongle and plug it back in. That\'s annoying when you need to do something after a call. And I\'m worried that after a few months of this, I\'ll break the dongle and/or USB port. Also, I had my Chromebook (Chromebox) processor behind the screen (it\'s small), but now needed to rearrange my desk so I can access it. Clearly, it\'s a software issue but they tell me they don\'t support Chromebooks (this was never made clear before purchase, every FAQ I read didn\'t mention this issue).2) Battery says 14 hours when charged, but then if you use it for 30 min, the next morning when you turn it back on it is down to 10 or 12 hours. It continues to go down so that maybe after 5 days with 1 hour of use a day (and off the rest of the time), you\'re down to under 1 hour. Seems to be a software issue that makes it drain too fast or some other thing. But again, \"Chromebooks not supported.\" And using computer bluetooth instead of their dongle has its own known issues, which they confirm b/c computer bluetooth isn\'t really setup for two-way headsets (phone/tablet bluetooth is fine). So although all the normal features (comfort, quality, etc.) are great, and the communication from their tech support was excellent (but not the solution itself), these little software annoyances knock it from a 5-star to 3-star.Many businesses use Chromebooks now (end of 2017), and the Google ecosystem (Hangouts, etc.) is increasingly part of business, not just personal, operations. I can\'t purchase more of this brand for my small business with these outstanding issues until they fix their software (yes, I have updated the Firmware, which made some improvements, but didn\'t address either of these issues). Finally, I agree with the other posts that range is definitely nowhere near 100ft, at least in a setting with any obstacles. With normal, hollow walls, it\'s about 20-30ft before sound quality becomes affected. If you know you\'ll be moving around, then take the call on your mobile and keep it in your pocket and you\'ll be OK. But note that you cannot switch between devices in the middle of a call (that has nothing to do w/ this specific device, it\'s just the way it works). So if you take a call on your computer (Hangouts, Skype, GoToMeeting, UberConference, etc.) then you would need to connect separately again from your mobile in order to move away (you can\'t just walk away and it will continue the call from your phone when you\'re out of range). But I\'m not really faulting Jabra for this. If they say 100ft and realistically it\'s 30ft, then another company/model that says 50ft will realistically be 15ft. I do believe that the range of this product is about as good as you\'ll get without using something really bulky. If I think there\'s a chance I\'ll need to move far away, I\'ll try to just take calls from this headset via my mobile and/or laptop instead of desktop to begin with.UPDATE: At first, Jabra support was responsive, fast, etc. Then they started slowing down to the point that 2+ weeks after I\'d message them, no reply (they\'d tell me to try something, I\'d ask a clarification, and no reply until I would message them a second or third time to ask again). They are now just telling me to return the item because there\'s no Chrome OS support. Note that nowhere on the Amazon listing (from Jabra) does it say this (as of the time of this review posting). So many businesses and individuals incorporate ChromeOS that to not specify the lack of support up front is misleading--and the fact that they have no plans to change this (I would have been willing to deal with the issues for a few months if I knew OS support is coming) is in my opinion a really shortsighted business move.
