  • I bought several of these specifically to have background music or ambient sounds playing in multiple rooms, and for that it works very well. The sound quality is good, but certainly it is nowhere near a high-end stereo system, and shouldn\'t be expected at this price point and for the speaker size. But, it serves really well for the intended purpose. The speaker cabinet is on the smallish size which I like, and allows easy placement without dominating the space. Bluetooth setup was straight forward like with any Bluetooth device. The multi-room functionality works specifically with Amazon music (not sure if you need to be a Prime member) or with Spotify. You can not use a computer to directly play multi-room music, though music can be played to a single speaker per computing device via Bluetooth. Setting up the wifi connection was slightly problematic. !. Download the Edifier app to a phone or tablet. 2: Using the app, connect the speaker to your wifi system using the same network that your other Alexa devices are connected to. 3. Register the speaker using the Edifier app with Amazon. 4. Use an Alexa device (which could be an Alexa app). 5. Use the Alexa app to assign the Edifier speaker to a room and then combine multiple rooms (look up YouTube videos if you have trouble figuring this out.) 6. Once all that is done, tell Alexa to play music to your speakers either from free Prime streaming or from your Amazon music library, such as \"Alexa, play music from my playlist Piano everywhere.\" If everything has worked correctly then music should begin playing on all the set up speakers. There was a glitch when I tried to set it up, and speakers were initially listed in Alexa as offline, even though they weren\'t. Try powering down the speakers and turning them back on, or verify the correct network connection to see if that works. But, I did get everything working. I don\'t have Spotify so I can\'t say anything about that. So, overall a good option for a wifi-connected multi-speaker system, and woks well as a single Bluetooth speaker too. Build quality of my three speakers is excellent.
  • This is what you need to know:-it does sound good. Maybe 75% of a sonos of the same size.-It much prefers to be WiFi connected than Bluetooth-It does not appear you can pair 2 and play them for stereo when input is bluetooth. As singular bluetooth speakers they aren\'t as good as many omnidirectional speakers( ie Bose or UltimateEars)-They will pair and play as stereo when on WiFi-decent appearance
  • Haven\'t had much chance to play around with them. Once my office set up is complete I\'ll update with more in depth review.Update: this speaker is nice and full base feel, the other ranges are complimenting to the deep base that fills my office. I plan on getting a second one.
  • Problems with the WI-FI connection.
  • I now have four different Edifier speaker setups. I bought this one as a stand alone for my bathroom. It was easy to set up for WiFi and I can use it with Apple Music (app) with no problem. But I cannot figure out how to make it recognizable to connect it to an Echo Dot.At this point I\'m going to take another run at this review and dwell on what it is rather than what it isn\'t. I\'m using it as a mono speaker in my bathroom...but I\'ve tried three other speakers before this one including a Sonus Model 1. None of them has stayed locked on to my WiFi signal like this one does...including a mini Apple HomePod. To me it also sounds better than the others...which is really saying something given the price point. It is a very natural sound for very natural (aka classical and other \"acoustic\") music. I hated the Sonus because at the time I had it, it required a proprietary WiFi setup where I was required to \"mirror\" all my music to make it work. Keeping two large collections in sync was just too difficult and a big bother. So this Edifier (the only one of my four setups that\'s WiFi capable) is the best I\'ve had for that location. I have a pair of Edifier S1000DB\'s in my living room (with matching stands) that are excellent...but I had to add an outboard WiFi receiver to use them (though they have Bluetooth built in). Then I have two pair of R 1700 BT\'s (one in my bedroom which I use with my AppleTV and one in my office). Soundwise they are all winners...again for their price point..But I wish they were all as WiFi capable as this new \"Smart Speaker\" ... I just wish it were smart enough to pair with my Bluetooth devices.
  • One of bug bears of this speaker is a loose power connection underneath the unit. When there is a slight movement it umplugs. The sound is satisfactory but with emphasis on base. Had been useful to be able to control the base in the app.
