- I really would give this a 3.5. Overall, it\'s a great controller for an iPhone. For the Mac, it\'s almost the same. I say almost because if you play emulators, the controller does kind of feel awkward sometimes--for reasons that\'s not really the controller\'s fault I guess.I don\'t know if I like the D-pad; its good, it\'s clicking nature doesn\'t help me with certain games (like Tekken). But I think the only real issue I have is that it does this weird disconnecting thing where it (the controller) will stop responding, but the light will show its still connected. If you turn it off from there, the control won\'t come back on/respond until you plug it in somewhere to \"disrupt and reconnect\" itself.
- Picture this scenario: You open your Amazon smiley face box to reveal your sleek new controller to whip your opponents into the next century. You are so excited you immediately fire up your phone/TV/computer, easily connect the controller via bluetooth... STOP!!!!As soon as you get this controller go to the manufacturer\'s website, download the SteelSeries app and get the latest firmware. Do this BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE CONTROLLER TO ANY BLUETOOTH DEVICE! If you don\'t, it will BRICK and you\'ll have to wait for days for the battery to die.Save yourself the hassle and update the firmware first! Seems like a pain, but the controller works very well after you do the update.Don\'t make the same mistake as I did!!

- I\'m not a gamer, but my son loves it. He uses it with Apple TV arcade or puts his iPhone on the controller holder and plays game directly on his phone with it.

- Right now I purchased the Nimbus+ despite all the negative reviews because you normally filter the top and bottom 5% of reviews. It feels great in my hands, even with large hands, it feels great. That being said, I CANT USE IT WITH ANY GAMES ON MY IPHONE 12 Pro MAX! The companion app is designed for the Gen 1 Nimbus, NOT the 2nd Gen Nimbus +. It connected to BT just fine, but when i go to the app on my phone, it just wont see it. I then downloaded the Steelseries Engine app and even then, the Windows app is not very user friendly. I finally found it under Engine (thats logical, just NOT at all). I did the critical update thinking ok maybe this update will allow for usability on my iphone...NOPE. It is designed just for Apple Arcade from what I can tell. I was able to add my PC games to the library in the engine app, but i really purchsed this for my Iphone games.So all that summarized:Pros:Feels great in my handsButtons laid out intelligentlyMost of the complaints about buttons I believe are from First GenLightning Connection (cable not included btw)The Phone Mount did support my Iphone 12 Pro MaxConnected via BT very easilyI guess the battery life is great. I just received the device tonight so i cant really speak to that as of yet.Cons:instructions were just above useless besides button descriptionsIphone app does not support the Nimbus+no games support unless maybe Apple Arcade ( I wouldnt know because i dont pay for that crap)basically useless as a mobile device controller
- Works great on iOS but does sometimes disconnect. Maybe 15 seconds out of every ten hours gaming. Works well for Apple TV and I assume mac but really depends on game developer support. For example, Call of Duty Mobile works well but the Stranger Things game by Netflix has mapped the incorrect buttons so it refers to Y, X, A, and B buttons as RT, LT, B, A. Now that I think of it, Call of Duty also supports 99% but loading screens and popups do not have any way to clear with the controller. You still end up having to keep the screen close by. This is only ever a problem when I stream over wifi to my tv for full console like gaming. The only real gripe I have is the iPhone accessory is very hard to put in place, hard to remove, doesnt like to stay in place and can get the wobbles. Enough so that I had to disable the \"Back Tap\" feature of my phone because smashing the trigger would activate the flashlight or screen zoom with the wobbleness. All in all, worth the price and with the right game can make your mobile device, smart tv, and computer feel much closer to a console.
