- This is for sure one of those things that is extremely difficult to understand at the beginning, but with continued practice becomes easier. For some reason I thought it would be a piece of cake, but that was not my experience.I\'ve had it for about 3 months now, and still feel like a beginner...maybe intermediate beginner. I actually find that the app it comes with makes it a bit harder to use! But without the app, it\'s just a free for all and leaves me frustrated. However I will say when I get a good shot, WHEW, looks professionally done. The thing I find most frustrating is when the stabilizer locks into one direction and doesn\'t allow me to move around it. So hard to explain until you have this in your hand. I understand that I may just be on the wrong mode for what I\'m trying to accomplish, but what if I want one steady shot that pans, rises, goes around subject, and then low. It feels like I need to be on a completely different setting for all of those?! Still working on it! But I\'ve seen several pros on Youtube with this exact model and they have feature film-worthy shots with this. It\'s possible, but a learning curve for sure.In short, it\'s a fantastic stabilizer, but is taking me more time than I would like to perfect my shooting. But I\'m confident in my future with this.I will also add that the camera app absolutely DRAINS my iPhone. I\'ve had my iPhone for about 3 years...which doesn\'t feel like it\'s my phone\'s fault entirely. But sheesh. I went from 100% to 40% in about an hour and a half using the app this comes with. My phone also became scalding hot due to the use. Something to consider!
- This Gimbal works great nice smooth videos and easy controls on the handle. The big issue is that most of the time in vertical or horizontal mode the phone is too big and bumps the gimbal.
- I\'m in my 40\'s now and wasn\'t always technologically challenged. I used to be good with technology and still know more than my dad who I have to help sometimes and knows more than most his age. But I\'ve reached the point where my kids/ teenagers have surpassed me and they have to help me sometimes. They\'re gonna have to help me figure this one out, because I just can\'t. It seemed to work great initially with my bigger Motorola G Power phone- but it requested a firmware update immediately, which I did- and it just hasn\'t worked as well since. It doesn\'t want to balance my phone most of the time. So it mostly just flops around in it. And the tutorials take forever to load for me and are just a robot voice reading a short segment with loud distracting background noise instead of a more helpful video tutorial with instructional graphics. I don\'t know if the update has kinks that haven\'t been worked out, if it\'s my phone, or the most likely cause is user error on my part.I do know it has great stabilizing capabilities because I shot one test video before the firmware update. I also love the filters because it does help with the lighting and makes you look great even with no makeup. But it\'s not user friendly for me at all and it\'s a little frustrating trying to figure out when it just wants to flop around or even look away from you at inanimate objects. I wish the tutorials were a little better for people like myself and that the interface were more intuitive. I\'ll come back to edit this review if I feel differently after I have my kids take a look and help me out because I\'m not giving up on it and want to love it. But that update has it not behaving like I think it should with my phone and the tutorials haven\'t been the most helpful for me. So far it\'s been more frustrating than useful unfortunately.
- Good gimbal for your phone. Mechanically everything worked perfectly. I had a little trouble with the app but got it figured out. Perfect for making great videos and fit my phone even with a case on it.
- I got this specifically because it was advertised to work with a Samsung Note 10+. It doesn\'t, though. Even without a case on it, my phone was too long for the space and didn\'t allow the gimbal to swivel freely. It powered on and tried to move as intended, but the phone just didn\'t fit no matter what way I put it in the holder. It also didn\'t work with my husband\'s Samsung Galaxy S10+. I was so disappointed to be unable to use it after wanting a gimbal for so long.
