- This is my first vr headset and I love it. I got it for 250$, and it was worth every dollar. My main issue with it is the tracking relies on only two front facing cams. So it\'s limited but not a big deal to me personally. In just glad to finally have a vr that is fun to use. Cords not increasingly being but its just long enough for my play space. If you have a large space then this will be an issue. Since extension cords apparently cause bad audio issues. Perhaps there is a cord out there that doesn\'t cause the issue. Either way at 200 to 300 buck\'s, its worth it. If its over 300 I\'d just go for an oculus rift s. Since it has superior internal tracking. Either way this is great for a budget, or something to hold you over until you have enough for an index or something. Or wait for 3rd gen headsets. Even if you will stick with this, its pretty decent. Just remember to install the windows mixed reality driver in the steam store. Just search for it the steam app store. Then you can access all of steam vr library.You will be able to use active USB/HMDI 4k 3ft extension cords. You might be able to get up to 6ft if the cord is good enough, but 3ft extensions work. As long as its an active USB 3.0 cord and an HDMI 4k 60fps+ cable.
- The screen is great, super clear and bright. Tracking works well as long as you keep the lenses clean and have your hands in front of you, but there are rare times when it just loses a hand for a few seconds.Only issue is comfort. I got 3rd party face pads and a top strap that helped with the headset, but it is still hard to wear for too long with glasses on.The ergonomics of the controllers are horrible though. My hands cramp up every few minutes and I have to change position on the controllers, and they slip out of your hand really easily. Unfortunately I haven\'t found any 3rd party grips for the controllers or anything else to solve those problems.
- Although it is adjustable, it just BARELY fits my eyesight... I have to take motion sickness meds or else the slight blurryness will make me Ill. Came with no protection for the product... Or instructions... Was literally just the headset... Cord... And 2 controllers. The tracking isn\'t very good and I constantly have to redo my rooms play space-And there isn\'t as many button options as some of the competing sets... Unless you HAVE to get this one (due to laptops needing an HDMI set like this one instead of the regular display port...) I wouldn\'t get this. It\'s alright. It\'s fine as one of my only options... But compared to the other headsets (that are display port based) this one sucks.
- This is probably one of the better windows mixed remote headsets. Its got an absolutey beautiful picture quality, great sound quality on the akg headset, and the dual microphone is a nice bonus that also sounds really good. With a little trial and error to set it up for steam vr I found that the headset works really and does its job fine. I would recommend getting a new face pad however because the one it comes with isn\'t the greatest. Overall, great product and I got it really fast, only 3 days!
- I would definitely recommend this headset it works perfectly it feels comfortable however the controllers die a little quick but I don\'t have any problem with it I would just buy rechargeable batteries but all in total I would recommend this
- I loved almost everything about this reburbished headset, there didn\'t appear to be outside scratches, it was well packaged, and both controllers looked brand new, however one BIG gripe..THE RIGHT LENSE WAS SCRATCHEDSure everything else was perfect, and when looking through the lenses I can\'t tell the scratch is there, it still is terrible that they reused scratched lenses, that\'s the only thing in a refurb you DONT cheap out on.Aside from that good, definitely worth the price tag of $300
- The headset is stiff, although the head adjustment was better than the Rift\'s. I\'ve been told that were issues with the controllers by other users but I haven\'t experienced that - maybe because I don\'t move around a lot when wearing this. The quality is certainly better than what I had with the Rift.
- I wrote a review back in January and gave it 4 stars even though it shipped with one controller that the trigger did not work ,So I won\'t ever trust this company again for anything that says refurbished...how can you refurbish something and not notice the trigger on the left controller doesn\'t work at all, I paid 319 for this refurbished unit right after Samsung ha sale for 289 that I just missed the Unit has been fine and I can\'t see my self flight swimming without it now ,but I\'ve bout several mor VR games that require 2 controller s ,but too bad I guess I waited too long, anyway finally found a used one on eBay and paid $50 for it ...hope it works, anyway there must not be any QC at this company at all to ship this out broken like that...
