- Not a bad product if you’re one who charges your devices overnight. But if you wear your watch as a sleep tracker, you might want to consider the MagSafe puck charger that came with your Apple Watch. It’s taken 3 hours to charge my watch ultra from 56% to 88% with nothing else on the charger. That is completely unacceptable. With the charger that comes with the watch , I can charge it while in the shower and brushing my teeth and get more than 30% in 25 minutes.
- I ordered and received this a month and a half ago.I use it every couple days to charge my phone and watch, it really works great for this.In the beginning, I did quite a bit of research on a few different brands for charging my iPhone 12 Pro and my iWatch. I almost didn’t buy this one because there were many reviews that claimed it didn’t work or wouldn’t fully charge the phone or died within a week, I finally looked at the Apple website to see what they offer as a charging accessory and to my surprise, this was one of only a couple they offer so, my reasoning says that if this accessory is sold by Apple as an accessory for their equipment, then it must be good so, I bought this one.I’m totally happy with this item, it’s extremely easy to set up and charges my phone and watch just fine.Yesterday, I think that I found out why some people have problems with their chargers by shear accident. The night before, I placed my phone and watch onto the charger as usual, yesterday morning when I woke, I noticed that my phone was fully charged but my watch was fully discharged, at first I thought that I was experiencing what others had stated that their charger died but then I realized that a set of keys that had been laid on a book that was beside the charger, had fallen onto the earbud charger portion of this charger, most likely my cat is to blame for the keys falling onto the charger.I removed the keys from the charger and it worked just fine.I have no way of knowing whether or not the failures that others have experienced have been caused by this same type situation but, it is something that can happen as I found out myself. It makes sense that it would not charge properly if metal objects landed on the charging pad, it’s essentially being shorted and if left like that, it’ll eventually damage the charger.Overall, this is an excellent charger and if Apple trusts this charger enough that they actually sell it as an accessory in their store and on their website then, obviously it’s good enough for me plus, it’s a little bit cheaper to buy it on Amazon than from the Apple Store. Win, win!BTW, I don’t find it awkward at all placing my watch on the charger, so what if part of the band ends up behind the phone charger, it has zero effect on the fit, form or function of this charger. I guess that it comes down to personal preferences and what you yourself find awkward or annoying, for me, it’s excellent.Excellent charger, I highly recommend it.
- So much more convenient than having multiple wires. Can’t pack it flat for travel. Phone has to be placed precisely to charge. That said — worth the money and drawbacks
- Works as described. Great to have the phone and watch share the same charger. Products seem to charge faster the my older chargers.
