- The first time I brought these to the range I was skeptical. I had them on when I got out of the car because I was at an outdoor range. I still remember thinking to myself \"I really hope these work\" when I opened my car door stood up and slammed it shut. At that moment I had to pause and do a double take. I had just shut my car door and it didn\'t even make a sound. I immediately thought \" I must not have shut it all the way\" and went to grab my car door and close it properly. Only to realize that my car door was working fine. This product was simply just doing its job, it canceled out the noise of my car door slamming shut. Which immediately put any suspicions I had of the product not working to rest. I proceeded to shoot multiple different firearms in the presence of people firing theirs all around me and my ears felt just fine. I was able to hold conversations with them on as well, the noise amplification and cancelation are perfect. Now I need to buy more of these as gifts for my relatives.
- These are great for the range, replacing earmuffs which either get hot or bump against the stock on shouldered firearms. FIND PLUG INSERT THAT FITS BEST INCLUDED and you\'ll have no problem. There is a constant buzz which is best described as wind stirring up leaves or like a microphone in the breeze which takes some getting used to when hunting, no problem on the range. Amplifies voice and sound fine while cutting out the report of the firearm. Best all around option available for those wanting these features.
- These fit pretty good but it is still a struggle to always keep them in. The wires easily can pull out the plugs when moving. They seem to decrease the sound from a gun blast pretty well. A charge seems to last a long time-more than 8 hours for noise reduction.
- Pros: super handy. Love that it has separate controls for noise suppression/amplification and bluetooth music. Extremely practical and easy to use. Love the loops over the ears can feel confident running. Battery lasts forever. I probably used them for 10 hours since opening the box, never charged, never ran out of battery.Cons: sound is not so great. To describe it i will compare to Walker BT Silencer 2.0. The sound lacks bass and has amplified high frequencies, i would say 4k-10k hz range. Its hard to notice but its there both when shooting at gun range and when just listening to music. higher pitch eventually becomes irritating and at some point my left ear felt uncomfortable/painful from the sound. Maybe i got a bad set. Also seems like drivers are further away from ears or just sound further but i dont get immersed in music as with my walker set. I did not check if they use different codecs, but straight out of thr box thats my experience.I cant complain about sound qualitu on my Walker Silencer set, they sound fantastic. But the Walkers have 1. Terrible battery life, 2. Only touch controls, very much pain in the ass.I might try another set in the future. For now im back to just earplugs for shooting and other cheap headphones for music.
- A good friend recommended these so I that was my trigger to purchase. Immediately after trying to fit the ear buds in my ear (I tried all three sizes) it was immediately apparent the removable buds were *way* too short to stay in my ear canal and *way* too short to provide an effective block to outside noise.The other brain dead design were the controls on each cable. They are placed to where you have to operate them by feel because there is no way to actually look at them unless you remove it from the ear.I suppose some would find the Bluetooth capability to pair with a phone useful but it was a completely useless feature for me. All I wanted was hearing protection for shooting. So I\'m back to using Mac\'s ear plugs.
- Positives = Battery life, fast easy Blue Tooth connection.ISSUES - And Maybe it’s just me.FIT, (I expected much better for the price.)- Ear buds will not stay in.You get 3 styles of pads. Three sizes within each. I tried them all. The weight of the unit pulls the buds out. The foam pads are awkward to fully compress for big fingers like mine. They seem to re-expand before I can get them in. I discovered through these reviews, you are supposed to put them in from the front and pull the wire around & over your ear.FUNCTIONALITY- Took me a few minutes to figure out the Microphones for hearing enhancement and protection are at the exterior of the ear buds. Not in the controls like other devices.- Sound quality is good for music.- Hearing enhancement works. But it isn’t as good as I had hoped. Everything gets amplified. There’s no filtering. Tree leaves in wind creates a distracting static like sound. Watching a movie on TV, the movie sound is amplified but so is the distracting sound of our dogs toenails on the floor.- With the wires over my ears, the controls fit so snugly under my chin I needed to remove one side to see the controls.- I hate having to charge wireless accessories. But I thought the hearing enhancement and active protection would offset the price and inconvenience of another thing to charge at night.The ideas behind them are good.Manufacturer, If your reading this;- Either update your documentation to show how to properly wear these, or tweak the design so they stay in. Maybe a third size pad option?- Longer wires, So I can see the controls without removing one ear bud.- I know this is unlikely, But, give me a pair that can be powered by my phone. (Yes, An audio jack.) or maybe Wireless charging.I’ll try to make these work. But so far, for the money, I expected much better…
