Jabra Elite 45h Best-in-Class Wireless Headphones, Navy - Biggest Speakers, Longest Battery, Fastest Charge

  • I got the Navy pair for $80 at the beginning of October and so far I\'m pretty happy (rude that they have now raised the price). For that price, I think the sound quality is pretty good and the headphones are very comfortable. Great battery life too. I like them as a more relaxed alternative to my AirPods Pro, which are in-ear and can give me a headache/ear ache after I wear them for a while. The controls—which are located on the lower back sides of the earcups—take some getting used to, but now that I\'m accustomed to them, I haven\'t had too many issues. They do tend to automatically pair with both my laptop and my phone when I put them in pairing mode, which can make listening to things like spotify and netflix on my phone a little finicky, esp if i have those apps open on my laptop (disconnecting the headphones\' bluetooth connection on my laptop solves this issue).Contrary to a bunch of people\'s reviews, pairing with my 5-year-old MacBook Pro was very easy. Pairing with my iPhone 8 was a little more annoying but after one or two attempts, it worked and no real issues since. I haven\'t had any serious issues with phone calls, though one person has told me they can hear themselves through my mic. I can hear people on the other end well and find them comfortable for long calls.I think they are better for home/office use because they do tend to slide around. The lack of clamping action—which is what makes them comfy—also means I prob wouldn\'t use them for commuting (as if I am doing that again anytime soon) or exercising outside. No ANC to speak of, so they don\'t isolate outside sounds a huge amount, but the on-ear design does some of that work.Overall a thumbs up for wfh life! Especially if you can get them for the lower price.
  • Great headphones. The sound is fantastic. The quality is obvious. They don\'t have active noise cancellation, but I\'d rather compromise on that than pay 3 times the price for the Jabra 85 with ANC. And because they are on-ear headphones and not over-ear headphones, you are not going to be totally isolated from outside noise anyway.I like the 50 hours of battery life. Maybe you don\'t need so much right now, but thanks to that it will last longer because battery life degrades with timeThe phone app (Android) is great and gives useful featuresThe Bluetooth is great: I can connect to my phone and also to my computer. I can also control some settings from the headphones even when connected to the computer which came as a nice surprise. For example, during Webex calls, I can control not only the volume but also the mute directly from my headphones. While listening to music on MusicBee on my computer, I can control both volume and next/previous track. There are some quirks, especially when connected to an android phone and a windows computer simultaneously, but it works well enough that I don\'t recommend buying the Jabra dongle for an extra 100$It can get a bit uncomfortable after a while because of the pressure that is applied to the ears, but I guess it\'s the same for all on-ear headphones. Also, they tend to fall off when you bend down, so these are not headphones that you will use for going to the gym.Pros- Fantastic sound- Great quality- Super long battery life- Good price/value- Good Bluetooth experience- Useful Android app- Better portability than over-ear headphonesCons- On-ear -> bad noise isolation- No active noise cancellation- Can get uncomfortable after wearing them for a long time- They tend to fall off when you bend down
  • I bought these to have an over ear option when I don\'t want to mess with earbuds. I use them as my second headset for when I work at the office (I prefer wired when I am WFH) because it gives me the ability to listen to music from my phone and then jump over to a call on my work computer if I need to. The 45h also has seriously good sound quality for the price point especially considering the quality loss that is typical of sending audio over bluetooth. The battery life is also impressive. I have gone weeks using these about 1-2 hours per day without needing to charge. Only major drawback is that I wish they had hear through available on this device. The sidetone works great when on a call but there doesn\'t seem to be a hear through option for when you\'re listening to audio. This seems like something that could be provided with a software update but I have yet to see it.Helpful note: if you want something to workout in, spend up to go with the 75t or 85t earbuds. These won\'t stay on your head. You shouldn\'t be working out with a headset on anyway.
  • These headphones are pretty good for the money as others have noted. I\'ve enjoyed them. Unfortunately, in just a year and a half the ear cushions have degraded miserably. I haven\'t used them in any conditions that would warrant this. I don\'t work out in them -- I don\'t even take them outside. The material isn\'t just disintegrating, it\'s separating from the body. When I informed Jabra, they directed me to the website where I could purchase replacements -- for $20 plus tax and shipping. So every year and a half they get 20% of the cost of the entire product again for replacement parts? (Actually they\'re selling the headphones for $80, so it\'s 25% of the cost of the entire product.) No thanks. I\'ll take that money and put it toward a pair of headphones that won\'t degrade. The material is garbage. Which is too bad because the sound is pretty good and they\'re otherwise pretty good.
