  • So I was a little hesitant buying this device at first, based on the price. It appears to be a little too good of a deal. You usually get what you pay for in regards to build quality and function. With that being said, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this unit. The connectors on the cable are big and beefy and feel very secure. Plus the booster is solid metal and doesn’t feel cheap to me.Ok so how does it function?Well outside my house I normally get about 2 bars of signal. I used cellmapper.net to find my tower. Mounted the Yagi antenna on a pole on my roof and pointed it at the tower. Inside I mounted the booster on the wall in my bedroom and ran the cable out a window. It was very simple and easy to install. In my bed room, next to the booster, I now have full 5 bars of signal. My data speeds are improved. (From 6mbps avg. to 18mbps Down) Especially the upload speeds!(3mbps to 20mbps up) That surprised me. Score! The latency does does appear to be around 10-15ms slower than previous. Which really isn’t much.. But the connection is much more consistent and reliable now. No drops/packet loss, disconnects, like before. I am able to stream a 1080p YouTube video with no buffering now. Score!Ok great, but as soon as I leave my bed room and go to other rooms in the house, cell signal drops back down to 2 bars. The indoor antenna does not cover very much area at all. Don’t expect this to fill a whole house.Over all, the price is good, the build is good, and it does do a pretty good job. It was an honest upgrade for my situation being in a rural area and using cellular for my only internet connection. I do recommend this product if you only need to fill a smaller room. You should consider spending more money if you’re trying to improve the entire household.
  • Here is the lowdown. I needed a special repeater in the 6 band. When I received this I opened it up and laid the parts out for location. Rooftop, furnace room, inside placement. The mount easily installed on the roof with 4 wood screws and the outside antennae was done. dropped the cable thru a fresh air vent tube for the furnace room. No heat involved as this just supplies outside air for the gas furnace. Then I mounted the repeater on the wall out of the way but near an electric outlet just outside the furnace room. Fired it up and checked the signal with the android app. There are many apps. Look for cell signal strength. I went back to the roof and adjusted antennae to raise signal strength. You look at the app and slowly move antennae. Easy peasy. My home has insulated concrete forms with 16 inch thick walls inside and out so it is a beast to get cell service and I live down the backside of a hill from the tower. We had to go outside to use phones for talk. Now the signal runs a good.112 and we use cell to replace internet access with a hot spot tablet. That is still new so we are working out the bugs before leaving cable internet for good.I did split the inside antennae so now there are 2 in the home. Same unit, just 2 devices for the phones to access. Like having extra wifi connections in a big home.Hope this helps. ALWAYS check your phone for the correct band repeater you need before buying. The apps can tell you where the best signal comes from for each user and what band it is picking up. It can be many at the same time so know what your service uses in the area you live.
  • This CAN work, but will not work well as it sets. It comes prepackages with really high loss coax, RG58... long story short I could not get mine to work... Then I tried using some old used LMR400... it worked fantastic... So if you buy this, just plan on buying some quality feedline. Even better, try to mount it as close to the directional antenna as possible.
  • Honestly, I plugged it in and pointed to the tower but we never saw any significant increase in signal or speed. That\'s why I give it 3 stars and not 1. We purchased the correct \"band\" before we bought to make sure. But again no speed or notable signal increase.
  • We live and travel full-time in our RV and this antenna helps to increase our cell reception in troubled places. Where we are now (in Florida) we would normally get 1 to 3 bars, but with this antenna, we are getting 4 bars and our Firestick streams with little buffering. It was easy to install on the RV roof and inside. We moved it around inside a few times, but found the right spot and it\'s worked great ever since. I\'ll also add that we have 2 iPhones, 2 iPads, and an Amazon Firestick that draw from it.
  • It honestly hasn\'t been doing much for me, but I\'ll blame that on my location. It gets the job done, giving me some semblance of phone service under my metal roof. The usefulness is quickly blemished by the reliability (again most likely due to my location). Overall, I consider it a pretty good purchase considering my current situation.
  • I did see an improvement on band 66 but my data throughput went down compared to connecting my antenna directly to my hotspot.
  • I’ve been using this booster in an area where the cell signal was fairly weak. After doing some tuning and getting pointed in the best direction I found that it does help to boost that signal so long as your not too far from the internal antenna.
