- I did everything the seller recommended -- placed the antenna high, far away from the repeater, pointed at the nearest cell tower, etc. Got only a bit of erratic improvement. Had to return.
- Normally I\'d have hauled all of this into the wireless lab at work and really seen how it performed, but given the whole COVID thing I have to settle with basic inspection and in-situ testing. I swapped the amp for thousand dollar WeBoost amp I normally use out on my land and still had reasonable signal. Of course the WeBoost is always operating in overloaded condition so it wasn\'t a real apples-to-apples test. However, at least it showed that it works. The outdoor antenna is a cheaply made mulit-frequency Yagi style antenna, and tossed in loosely with all the other parts arrived with bent elements. Higher end solutions like the WeBoost typically use a log-periodic antenna inside a radome for better performance and a nicer look. The indoor antenna is a basic plastic encased monopole or sleeve dipole similar to what you\'d find on a typical Wi-Fi router, but a bit larger for lower frequency operation. Again, not being able to toss it in the chamber and run a pattern test on it, I really can\'t tell exactly how either of these are performing, but I\'d suspect a net negative gain for the dipole and probably 6-8 dBi on the Yagi if you\'re lucky. The dipole for the interior also makes it harder to avoid cross-talk between antennas unless you\'re operating inside a steel building where there\'s plenty of physical isolation between the indoor and outdoor antennas.
- I live out in the country and have Sprint. I usually am on 1x without a booster or anything. I got a magic box through Sprint which brings my service up to full bars LTE. However, its something I have to keep out in a tote on my front porch and worry about extreme heat and cold. I thought I would try this instead. I did unplug the magic box before putting it up so they wouldn\'t interfere with each other. I tried it on my house roof, garage roof, a tree, a ladder and wasn\'t able to pick up anything. If you are in a little better area it might work for you but I didn\'t have very good luck with it unfortunately.
- Convenient way to increase cell signal reception. The product includes the cell signal amplifier, indoor antenna, outdoor yagi antenna, and the coax cable needed to connect everything. You need your own J-pole for the yagi since it isn\'t included. Instructions aren\'t the best and could definitely be improved. But overall, it does a good job of increasing the strength of my AT&T service and reception. Recommended. 4-stars.
- We live in a brick house in an area that is lower than the surrounding areas so our cell phone signal gets lost very easily around the neighborhood and definitely inside the house. I installed the outdoor antenna at the highest point of my roof and angled it towards the best signal (3-4 bars). I then ran the coax cable down into the ceiling and placed the indoor antenna. All of this took me about 30 minutes so it wasn’t too bad at all. Now I get 2-3 bars inside which is a huge upgrade from the 0 bars I got before the install. I am very happy with this product and would recommend it only if you are able to obtain signal from some point outside the house. If there is no original signal reception, this device will not automatically generate new signal. It is solely meant to boost from the outside to inside.
- This signal booster works well. I have two bars of LTE signal at my home office, and this device boosts them up to 4 bars (700/1900 MHz band). It\'s very easy to install but, depending on how close the antenna and booster are, you might need to experiment a little with the orientation. The instructions provide enough details about this. Bonus the fact that they provide a 50 ft coaxial cable, which is quite long for most applications.Overall this product works as intended, if your operator is broadcasting in the supported frequencies, and I recommend it.
