- I was really hoping to get this little gadget to work to boost my cell signal but it did not. There is a good chance i messed up the installation, it is complicated, not only does it need to be on the roof but also on a stick or 4x4 at least 3 to 6 ft high and it must be facing to your cell phone antenna, you can look it up via a website where your cell phone antenna is at. then another little gadget goes inside your home, prepare to drill. Lots of little things here and there, save yourself the headache and get a professional to install this. Cant really recommend this gadget unless youre handy with power tools.
- I own 84ac with 10 outbuildings, 5 of which all get used enough to justify cell boosters .... THIS is just another review of another offering, that i am actually pretty impressed with.Omnidirectional antennas for the outdoor portion of the equasion are always suspect - and this one is no exception. With 30ft vertical and within 3deg directionality of the closest tower, I went from no signal/1 bar to a solid 1-2 bars inside. Is that worth the $$ - YES, to ME, as i have to have signal in each building. I did however, make one small change to the system ....OK, so..., the system itself is on-par with a few i have that cost 2X as much - I would pitch the outdoor antenna for a $30 YAGI though, and take the time to aim it correctly - and well, I DID. BANG - went to 3-4 bars immediately.The bones are here for a decent signal booster, but if You are out in the middle of \"No-Signalville\" You may want to also invest in a good directional outdoor antenna.ALL SAID - 4 stars all day.
- I have Tmobile and live in the mountains in Colorado and this product is amazing!It took a while for my boyfriend and I to get it set up and contact the mobile company and get everything approved and active and working but once that headache was over our service has been great.Still not like I feel it should be but honestly so much better then not having and using this. We can still get service and calls and texts most of the time no issue.
- I took a star away due to the outside box being on the light side of the spectrum i feel this part should be constructed alot sturdier plus the color white stands out way too much
- I bought this because we live in the country and are almost just out of cell range. This booster boosts the cell signal but doesn’t work for data very well. Set up is easy however, you have to know where the nearest tower is to be able to point it in the right direction. Also, it constantly errors and has to be restarted if you don’t have a reliable power source. If you need to get calls in an otherwise dead zone, this will help.
- I spent quite a while getting all this installed and have tried moving it several times to see if I could get it to do anything. I personally didn’t have much luck with this one. It may work well if you don’t live between mountains. So unfortunately for me if I need signal I still have to go outside and wander around like I’m lost, just to get 2 bars.
- Works as good as comparable models at a fraction of the cost. Pretty easy to set up and not huge or ugly in either location.Hope you found my review helpful :)
- The system is able to increase the cell phone threshold from the usual 1-2 to 3-4. No more partial calls dropped. Installation can choose professional construction. This avoids damage to the installation. I would recommend. For those who need to work on the phone frequently. it is friendly
