  • Really helps most of the time as we have very poor reception inside of the house.Bad part for some reason we are sometimes picking up Band 2 and this thing only works with band 13 G4Also the cords are pretty big and hard to hid and you will probley need an extra 50\' cord if you go up through your attic and back down.BUT glad we bought it we have more reception than we use to, and the price is better than most.
  • But it didn\'t.Prior to purchase I spent a lot of time researching what towers were in my immediate area - well, my very rural immediate area. Figuring out which towers were operated by which carriers, which bands were available, which competitor towers I could use (roaming), the direction in degrees and distance of each. I was going to be a lot more precise than using a \"general direction\" because I really wanted this to work. I also got on the roof to check signal with my phone to make sure I had better reception where the external antenna would be mounted, I did, 2 whole bars. An app on my phone more or less confirmed my research as to the direction of the tower I was connected to.As suggested I initially installed the system in a \"temporary\" manner, just running the coax around the house and inside the back door rather than running it thru the crawl space, but still mounted the antenna on top of the roof to get the line of sight I needed. Antenna and base were separated by 18 feet in height and 60 feel in horizontal distance. After getting the rooftop antenna pointed in the exact direction of the nearest tower using Bands 12 & 13, I connected everything and went in to check my phone.BAM! 4 bars roaming as anticipated! Clear calls! One hour later the wife came home and I told her the great news. She checked her phone, no bars (normal at home). Confused I checked my phone, no bars either, and I couldn\'t make a call. Both of us were standing 12 feet from the base unit, and its limited indicator lights said all was well. I checked the connections, good. I rechecked the antenna on the roof, good, still pointing in the right direction.Still, no bars in the house.I asked Amazon to take this one back and send me another. They did. The second unit arrived several days early, but was very obviously a return itself. I put the antenna on the roof and the base inside and powered it on.BAM! 4 bars roaming as anticipated! Clear calls!15 minutes later, no bars. Nothing changed, the antenna didn\'t move, the base didn\'t move, the cell tower didn\'t move.I really wanted this to work. Having to go outside to make or receive a call is far from ideal. If they get the bugs worked out it might be a good idea to add a few features to help with troubleshooting and alignment - like a signal meter so you can confirm you\'re pointed in the right place, and a more elaborate status indicator. Both units behaved EXACTLY the same, I had cell coverage for a limited time, this tells me it sort of works, but has issues.
  • We live in an area where the cell signal strength for LTE is very low. We get no 5G signal at all because we are out in the country somewhat. I’m talking maybe a single bar out in the street about 50 yards away from the House. Inside the house and garage we get no reception at all. Zero (We have a metal roof.).. I bought this SureCell model for the garage. I installed it myself mounting the outside antennae at the peak of the roof and the inside unit about 50 feet away and at the opposite end of the garage. It worked pretty well for the first couple of weeks with 2 bars. But then the signal became degraded and it finally stopped working altogether. So I bought an 8 foot metal pole and some mounting hardware and mounted the outside antennae on the pole so that it snow about 8 feet above the peak of the garage roof. And of course pointed towards the cell towers that we would receive ours signals from. (Not the nearest one, as its behind a mountain peak but towards one that is further away but that we do get some signal from. I had to add an extra 10 feet of RG6 Coax Cable to the furnished 50 foot run, to extend it up further to the top of the pole. And I will also ground the metal pole to an earth ground using #10 wire. Anyway, long story short. Now I got 3 bars and it works fantastic. You can walk around with the phone and it doesn’t drop calls. Stream videos, movies, etc. We use AT&T unlimited elite, about 50 bucks a line. Pretty good deal you ask me. But most importantly the sure call works well now. My next project is to extend the one for the house, as we were having similar reception problem with that one.
  • We only returned it because we realized it wasn\'t what we needed.
  • We were desperate but didn’t want to spend an excessive amount of money on a mico cell tower. After much research we settled on Surecall brand.Installation was easy as we were able to use an existing cable coming into our home. The Surecall outside antenna is about 50 feet away from our home. We used the Surecall website help section to locate our nearest cell tower which is about 1/2 mile away but surrounded by large government buildings. The first evening we saw no difference however by day 2 we had Service inside our home! I assume it took some time to grab the signal???We have AT&T cell service and are in a HORRIBLE service area. Due to construction AT&T removed our neighborhood’s cell tower which was 1/4 mile away and due to construction WIFI calling has also been an issue. We needed a fix. Prior to this cell tower we had zero bars inside the home. We now have 2 bars and can make/receive calls. Since installing I have yet to miss a call or a text.I am giving 4 stars because a few of our calls do have some issues with hearing the caller but the MAJORITY are clear.I recommend this product!
